You can extend your hosting with optional add-ons and configurable options, billed on the same cycle as your plan. This article lists each one and its price.
Applies to: All plans. Some add-ons exist mainly to bring a Self-Managed plan up to a Managed-style feature (for example Managed Backups), so a few are unnecessary on Managed where the feature is already included.
Note on prices: All prices below are in euro and shown per month (EUR /mo). They are charged on your plan's billing cycle, so an annual or biennial plan is invoiced for the matching number of months up front. VAT is not charged at checkout today.
Add-ons at a glance
| Add-on | Price | What it gives you |
|---|---|---|
| Managed Backups | EUR 5/mo | Upgrades a Self-Managed plan to managed daily backups, kept 30 days, stored off-site (JetBackup to Backblaze B2). Managed plans already include this. |
| Care Plan | EUR 39/mo | A hands-on managed-care option for an Self-Managed account (updates, monitoring and support handled for you). |
| Extra disk (+25 GB) | EUR 4/mo | Adds 25 GB of disk space on top of your plan's storage. Stack it if you need more. |
| Extra databases (+5) | EUR 1.50/mo | Adds 5 more MySQL/MariaDB databases above your plan's limit. |
| Dedicated IPv4 | EUR 3/mo | A dedicated IPv4 address for your account instead of the shared node address. (Only your IPv4 changes; the AAAA records in your zone still use the shared IPv6 address 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10.) |
| Professional Email | ~EUR 4.20/seat /mo | A resold Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace mailbox, per seat. Per-seat M365/Workspace products can also be ordered separately in the store. |
How to add or remove an add-on
You manage add-ons in your client area against the relevant service.
- Sign in at my.maxinodes.com.
- Go to client area -> Services -> My Services and open the hosting service.
- Look for the add-ons or configurable options on the service page (for example to change extra disk or extra databases), or use Order -> Addons to add one such as Managed Backups or Professional Email.
- Confirm the change and pay any resulting invoice.
Result: The add-on is active and appears on your next invoice on your normal billing cycle.
Notes worth knowing
- Managed Backups vs your plan. Self-Managed plans include self-restore backups only (Lite weekly, Plus 7-day, Pro 14-day). The Managed Backups add-on upgrades a Self-Managed account to managed 30-day off-site backups. Every Managed plan already includes daily 30-day off-site backups, so you do not need this add-on there.
- Extra disk and databases are stackable. Add the option more than once if you need more than one increment. Both are limited by your plan's wider CloudLinux resource limits.
- Professional Email is per seat. This is resold Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, billed per mailbox. Webmail lives at the provider (Outlook on the web or Gmail) — there are no Maxinodes mailboxes on the server.
- Dedicated IPv4. Customer websites are served over both IPv4 and IPv6 (dual-stack), so a dedicated IPv4 changes only your account's IPv4 address; the AAAA records in your zone still use the shared IPv6 address 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10.
