Refund and money-back policy

This is a plain-English summary of when you can get your money back from Maxinodes. In short: every plan — Self-Managed and Managed — is eligible for a 30-day money-back guarantee on your initial order, renewals are not covered, and some items — including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace mailboxes — are non-refundable. The full, authoritative terms are in the Terms of Service (clause 11) and on the right-of-withdrawal page on maxinodes.com — this article is a guide, not the legal text.

Do all plans have a money-back guarantee?

Both lines qualify — Self-Managed (Lite, Plus, Pro) and Managed (Starter, Growth, Business and Enterprise) — but the guarantee applies to a first-time, eligible plan and to your initial order only. If you are a new customer and you are not happy within 30 days of that initial order, contact us and we will refund what you paid for the plan's first term. If the plan came with a free first-year domain, the domain's regular price is deducted from the refund, and the domain stays registered to you for the rest of its first year.

To claim it, email billing@maxinodes.com within the 30 days — or open a request in our Help Center at support.maxinodes.com — and tell us the service and the date you ordered.

Does the guarantee cover renewals?

No. Renewals are not covered — the guarantee applies to your initial order only, and a new term does not start a fresh 30-day window. A renewal is charged at the plan's renewal price, and we email you at least 30 days before any renewal that costs more than your last payment. What is not refundable?

Some charges are non-refundable once the work or service has been delivered:

Managed Email — Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace mailboxes — non-refundable once provisioned. Seats are licensed from the vendor as soon as we set them up, so the 30-day guarantee does not cover them. If you no longer need a mailbox, cancel the seat so it is not billed again. The mailboxes included with your hosting plan are part of the plan, not a separate item.
Renewals — the guarantee covers your initial order only, so a renewal payment is not refundable under it.
Other third-party items, licences and one-off charges purchased through us.
Domain registrations and renewals — once a domain is registered or renewed, that fee is paid to the registry and cannot be refunded, even if you cancel your hosting.

How are refunds paid, and how long do they take?

Approved refunds are processed within approximately 14 days. VAT is not currently charged at checkout, so no VAT is involved in any refund.

If you paid by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit or bank transfer, the refund goes back to the same means of payment you used. There is nothing to agree with us first, and we do not need a wallet address or any other payment details from you.

If you paid in cryptocurrency, a refund is not pushed back down the rails the payment came in on — a crypto payment cannot be reversed the way a card payment can. We agree the euro amount being returned and the wallet address to send it to. That euro figure is what we owe you and does not shrink if the rate moves, but rates do move in the meantime, so the amount of cryptocurrency you receive back may not match the amount you sent. What about my EU right to cancel?

Separately from this guarantee, EU consumers also have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal (a cooling-off period) on most online purchases. This is a legal right and works alongside the money-back guarantee above.
