Applies to: All plans (Self-Managed and Managed).
Short answer: our shared hosting runs cPanel on AlmaLinux 9 with CloudLinux, LiteSpeed and a ModSecurity firewall, so it supports the standard tooling most websites need — multiple PHP versions, MySQL/MariaDB, cron, FTP/FTPS and SSH/SFTP, free and custom SSL, .htaccess/LiteSpeed rules, one-click WordPress installs via WP Toolkit, and Git. A few things are not available on shared hosting, and a few depend on your plan or node — those are listed below.
What we support
| Feature | Supported? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple PHP versions | Yes | Per-domain via cPanel's MultiPHP Manager (roughly PHP 7.x–8.x). A modern 8.x version is usually fastest. |
| PHP extensions & limits | Yes | Toggle extensions and raise memory/upload limits via MultiPHP INI Editor / .user.ini, within your plan's CloudLinux limits. |
| MySQL / MariaDB databases | Yes | Create and manage in cPanel; phpMyAdmin included. Database count depends on your plan. |
| Cron jobs | Yes | Schedule tasks in cPanel -> Cron Jobs. |
| FTP / FTPS | Yes | Create an FTP account in cPanel → Files → FTP Accounts, or use your main cPanel login. We recommend FTP over TLS (FTPS) so your login and files are encrypted. |
| SFTP / SSH | Yes | Secure file transfer — and a jailed shell — over SSH. Connect with your cPanel username and password on port 18890; your session is confined to your own account (no server-wide access). See How to connect over FTP or SFTP. |
| Free SSL (AutoSSL) | Yes | Let's Encrypt certificates auto-issue and auto-renew on all plans. |
| Custom / third-party SSL | Yes | Install a purchased certificate yourself in cPanel -> Security -> SSL/TLS. |
| .htaccess & LiteSpeed rules | Yes | Apache-style .htaccess works on our LiteSpeed web server. |
| One-click WordPress (WP Toolkit) | Yes | WP Toolkit installs and manages WordPress — updates, cloning, staging and security hardening. |
| One-click installer for other apps | No | We don't run one. Joomla, Drupal and other PHP/MySQL apps install manually: upload the files, create a database in cPanel, run the app's own installer. See Installing other apps (Joomla, Drupal and more). |
| LiteSpeed Cache (LSCache) | Yes | Recommended caching for WordPress and supported apps. |
| Git | Yes, where enabled | cPanel Git Version Control on supported nodes. Ask us to confirm for your account. |
| IPv6 (dual-stack) | Yes | Customer websites are served over both IPv4 and IPv6. When your domain uses our nameservers, the zone we create contains both the A record to 185.185.49.198 and the AAAA record to 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10, for your domain, www, cpanel and ftp — you do not have to add anything. AutoSSL covers both addresses. |
What we don't support on shared hosting
- Root / VPS-style server access. Shared hosting is isolated per account (CageFS), so there is no root or full-server control.
- Windows / ASP.NET / MSSQL. Our nodes are Linux (AlmaLinux 9). Use a PHP/MySQL stack instead.
- Self-hosted mail servers. We do not run mailboxes on the server — there is no cPanel webmail or Roundcube. Email is resold Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace (our Professional Email add-on, sold per seat). You point your MX records (in your client area DNS) and use the provider's webmail and apps.
- DNS in the cPanel zone editor. Live DNS is managed by us, on our own nameservers — edit records in your client area, not cPanel.
Ask us — it depends
For these, availability varies by plan and node, so check with support before you build:
- Node.js, Python or Ruby apps (via cPanel's "Setup App" / Application Manager).
Tell us your domain and what you're trying to run, and we'll confirm what's enabled.
