Short answer: our shared hosting runs cPanel on CloudLinux 9 with LiteSpeed and a ModSecurity firewall, so it supports the standard tooling most websites need — multiple PHP versions, MySQL/MariaDB, cron, FTP/FTPS and SSH/SFTP, free and custom SSL, .htaccess/LiteSpeed rules, one-click WordPress installs via WP Toolkit, Git, and mailboxes with webmail. A few things are not available on shared hosting, and a few depend on your plan or node — those are listed below.

What we don't support on shared hosting
- Root / VPS-style server access. Shared hosting is isolated per account (CageFS), so there is no root or full-server control.
- Windows / ASP.NET / MSSQL. Our nodes are Linux (CloudLinux 9). Use a PHP/MySQL stack instead.
- Newsletters and bulk email from your mailboxes. Our Acceptable Use Policy does not allow them; use a dedicated email-sending service instead. Mailboxes also have hourly sending limits: see Mailbox and sending limits.
- DNS in the cPanel zone editor. Live DNS is managed by us, on our own nameservers — edit records in your client area, not cPanel.
Ask us — it depends
For these, availability varies by plan and node, so check with support before you build:
- Node.js, Python or Ruby apps. Node 22 and Ruby 3.3 or 3.4 are installed — those are the only versions today, and others can be added on request. How many applications you can run is set by your plan, and the entry Self-Managed Lite plan includes none, so check with us before you build. Ruby is available as an interpreter for scripts, cron jobs and builds rather than a one-click app deploy.
