What's included in your plan (features and limits at a glance)

This article shows what each Maxinodes plan includes side by side: how many sites you can host, how much storage and how many databases and mailboxes you get, how backups work, what support you receive, and whether you get an uptime SLA. We have two product lines — Self-Managed and Managed (we look after the server for you). Prices for every plan and billing cycle, which exclude any add-ons, are in Billing cycles and how much you save.

Self-Managed plans

Self-Managed is self-serve hosting with support by email and through the Help Center, and no uptime SLA or service credits. Like every plan, it is eligible for a 30-day money-back guarantee on your initial order (renewals are not covered).

The free domain on Self-Managed Pro is one .com, .eu, .de, .org or .net domain, free for its first year on a 12 or 24-month term. It then renews every year at the domain's standard price, and if you claim the 30-day money-back guarantee, its regular price is deducted from the refund.

Managed plans

Managed adds 24/7 monitoring and on-call, managed updates and patching, daily 30-day off-site backups, DDoS mitigation, and an uptime SLA with service credits. A named account manager is included on Growth and above.

The free domain on Growth and Business is one .com, .eu, .de, .org or .net domain, free for its first year on a 12 or 24-month term. It then renews every year at the domain's standard price, and if you claim the 30-day money-back guarantee, its regular price is deducted from the refund.

The uptime SLA is credit-bearing: if we miss your plan's monthly target you can claim a service credit. The response target is an operational commitment for our initial reply to a support request — it is not part of the uptime SLA and missing it does not by itself earn a credit. On Enterprise, the uptime target is set in a bespoke Order Form rather than published here.

What every plan includes

These come with both Self-Managed and Managed, on every tier:

• cPanel for files, FTP/FTPS and SSH/SFTP, subdomains, databases, cron jobs and PHP.
• Free SSL via AutoSSL (Let's Encrypt), auto-issued and auto-renewed.
• LiteSpeed web server with LiteSpeed Cache, plus CloudLinux resource isolation, a ModSecurity web application firewall (OWASP Core Rule Set) and server-side malware scanning.
• DNS managed by us, on our own nameservers, with records edited in your client area. Your nameservers are ns1.maxinodes.com and ns2.maxinodes.com. DNS records are managed in the client area, not the cPanel zone editor.
• WP Toolkit for one-click WordPress installs, updates, cloning, staging and security hardening.
• Mailboxes on your domain with IMAP, POP3 and webmail, spam filtered into a Junk folder, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC added for you on our nameservers.
• Two-factor authentication on the client area and cPanel.

Customer websites are served over both IPv4 and IPv6 (dual-stack). When your domain uses our nameservers, the zone we create contains both the A records to 185.185.49.198 and the AAAA records to 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10, for your domain, www, cpanel and ftp — you do not have to add anything. AutoSSL (Let's Encrypt) covers both addresses.

Email

Every plan includes mailboxes on your domain (the counts and maximum sizes are in the tables above). Mailboxes share your plan's storage: mail counts toward the same disk space as your website. You create them on your service page in the client area under Email Accounts. Sending limits and other details are in the email limits article.

For shared calendars, Teams, shared drives or compliance tools, Professional Email (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, billed per seat) is optional. Order per-seat products in the client area store, together with Managed email (€19/month including 3 users, then €5 per additional user). See Email at Maxinodes.

Backups

All backups use JetBackup to Backblaze B2 and include your mailboxes. Self-Managed gives you self-restore in cPanel (Lite weekly, Plus 7-day, Pro 14-day). Managed gives daily 30-day off-site backups managed by us. Self-Managed customers can upgrade to managed 30-day off-site backups with the Managed Backups add-on (€5/mo). We recommend you keep your own backups too. See Backup retention by plan.

A note on prices and billing

You can pay monthly, or for 12 or 24 months up front. A new order on a 12 or 24-month term starts at a discounted first-term price, once per customer, and then renews for the same term at the plan's renewal price; see Billing cycles and how much you save. You pay by card or in cryptocurrency, and VAT/tax is not currently charged at checkout. Add-ons such as extra disk, extra databases, a dedicated IPv4 or a Care Plan are priced separately — see Add-ons and their prices.
