Applies to: All plans
Before you start: Have the email address you used when you ordered, plus your client area password. If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) turned on, have your authenticator app to hand.
Your client area is the Maxinodes billing and account portal at my.maxinodes.com. It is where you view and pay invoices, manage your services (upgrade, downgrade or cancel), register or transfer domains, manage your DNS records, open support tickets, and update your profile. It is separate from cPanel, which is the control panel for an individual hosting account.
Log in to your client area
- Go to my.maxinodes.com.
- Select Login (top right).
- Enter the email address you used when you ordered and your password.
- Select Login.
- If you have 2FA enabled, enter the one-time code from your authenticator app when prompted.
Result: You land on your Dashboard, with your services, invoices and any open tickets visible. The main sections are Billing (My Invoices, Add Funds, Payment Methods), Services (My Services), Domains (My Domains), Support, and your account menu (top right).
Reset a forgotten password
- On the login page, select Forgot Password?
- Enter the email address on your account and submit.
- Open the reset email from us and follow the link to set a new password.
Result: You can log in with your new password straight away. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and confirm you used the address you ordered with.
Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)
We recommend enabling 2FA to protect your billing and domain settings.
- Log in, then open your account/profile menu (top right).
- Find the two-factor authentication (Security) section.
- Choose the authenticator-app option, scan the QR code with your authenticator app, and enter the code it shows to confirm.
- Save your backup or recovery codes somewhere safe.
Result: Future logins ask for a one-time code after your password. 2FA is available on both the client area and cPanel; they are set up separately.
What you use the client area for
- Billing: view and pay invoices, add funds, manage payment methods. You can pay by PayPal, card, bank transfer (SEPA) or cryptocurrency.
- Services: view your plan, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel, and single sign-on to cPanel.
- Domains: register, transfer, renew, and manage auth codes, privacy and DNSSEC.
- DNS: manage your A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV and CAA records (DNS is managed here in the client area, not in cPanel).
- Support: open tickets, request quotes, and manage contacts/sub-users.
Troubleshooting this task
- Wrong email: log in with the exact address you ordered with, not an alias. Use Forgot Password? if unsure.
- Lost your 2FA device: contact support to verify your identity and reset 2FA — we cannot read your codes.
- Login keeps failing: clear your browser cache or try a private window, then reset your password.
