This article walks you through ordering a Self-Managed hosting plan at Maxinodes — choosing a plan and billing cycle, adding a domain, and what happens once you pay. Self-Managed is our self-serve line: you run your own site on fast EU cPanel hosting.
What a Self-Managed plan includes
Pick the plan that fits — Self-Managed Lite, Self-Managed Plus or Self-Managed Pro (prices for every plan and billing cycle are in Billing cycles and how much you save). Each gives you:
- A live cPanel account on our LiteSpeed + CloudLinux platform.
- A Maxinodes-managed DNS zone for your domain, on our own nameservers, with records managed in your client area.
- Free SSL (AutoSSL) once your domain points to us.
- One-click WordPress installs and management via WP Toolkit.
- Self-restore backups in cPanel (JetBackup to Backblaze B2).
- Mailboxes on your domain with webmail (Lite 10, Plus 50, Pro unlimited), sharing your plan's storage.
Self-Managed is self-serve, with support by email and through the Help Center. It has no uptime SLA and no service credits — that's a Managed feature.
Need shared calendars, Teams or shared drives? Professional Email (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) is optional and ordered separately in the client area store.
How to order
- Sign in at my.maxinodes.com and open the store (you can browse plans first on maxinodes.com).
- Pick your Self-Managed plan and your billing cycle — Monthly, 12 months or 24 months. A new order on a 12 or 24-month term starts at a discounted first-term price, once per customer, and then renews for the same term at the plan's renewal price; monthly billing is at the monthly price. The discount is applied in the cart automatically, and the order form shows the first-term total and the renewal price before you confirm.
- Add a domain — register a new one, transfer one in, or use a domain you already own and point it to us later. Self-Managed Pro on a 12 or 24-month term includes one domain ending in .com, .eu, .de, .org or .net, registered free for its first year; it then renews at the domain's standard price, and if you claim the 30-day money-back guarantee, its regular price is deducted from the refund.
- Choose Confirm and pay and pay for the order. You pay by card or in cryptocurrency, and VAT is not charged at checkout.
Result: You receive a welcome email, your cPanel account is provisioned automatically within minutes, and your service appears under Services -> My Services in the client area.
Changed your mind?
Every plan is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee on your initial order — if you're not happy within 30 days of that first order, contact us and we refund what you paid for the plan's first term (less the regular price of a free domain, if one came with the plan; the domain stays yours for its first year). After that, and on any later term, an End of Term cancellation simply stops the service renewing. Renewals are not covered by the guarantee. A renewal is charged at the plan's renewal price, and we email you at least 30 days before any renewal that costs more than your last payment: that is the time to cancel, or to ask us to switch you to monthly billing. Note: The money-back guarantee covers the hosting plan only. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace subscriptions we have bought on your behalf are non-refundable once provisioned, and domain registrations are non-refundable once provisioned. The one exception: if automatic payment has already charged a domain renewal and you cancel that renewal before the invoice's due date, we refund it in full.
