Something not working? Find your symptom below and follow the link to the article that fixes it. If you are not sure which one fits, pick the closest match — each linked article opens with its own symptom and cause list.
Tip: Before you start, note your domain, the exact error text on screen, and when it started. You will need these whether you fix it yourself or contact us.
Pick your symptom
My whole site is down, blank, or showing an error
- A 500 Internal Server Error or a blank/white page — see My website is down or showing a 500 error. For WordPress specifically, see Fixing the WordPress white screen of death.
- A 503 error or an "account suspended" page — this usually means a billing or policy issue. See My website shows '503' or 'account suspended'.
- A 508 "Resource Limit Reached" page — your account briefly hit its CloudLinux limits. This is not a full outage and clears on its own. See "Resource limit reached" and 508 errors explained.
- The site loads but is very slow — see Why is my website slow?.
My account was suspended or my payment failed
- See Why was my payment declined or my account suspended?. You can pay by PayPal, card, bank transfer (SEPA) or cryptocurrency.
I can't log in
- Client area, cPanel or WordPress — see I can't log in (client area, cPanel or WordPress).
- Forgot your cPanel password — see How to reset your cPanel password.
My email isn't working
Your email is Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, not a mailbox on our server. Read your mail at outlook.office.com (Microsoft 365) or mail.google.com (Google Workspace).
- Mail won't send or receive — see Email isn't sending or receiving.
- The DNS records your email needs — see The DNS records your email needs (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
My SSL or HTTPS isn't working
- A padlock warning, "Not Secure", or a certificate error — see My SSL or HTTPS isn't working.
- "Not Secure" or mixed-content warnings on a page that has a certificate — see Why does my site show 'Not Secure' or mixed content?.
My domain or DNS isn't resolving
- The domain won't load at all, or loads the wrong site — see My domain or DNS isn't resolving and My domain isn't loading the right site.
- You just changed nameservers or a record — changes can take minutes to a few hours (up to ~24-48h worst case). See How long does DNS propagation take?. Your nameservers are ns1.maxinodes.com and ns2.maxinodes.com, and you manage records in your client area, not the cPanel zone editor.
I can't connect via FTP, SFTP or SSH
My database isn't connecting
- "Error establishing a database connection" or a similar database error — see Database connection errors. For WordPress, see Fixing "Error establishing a database connection".
My site was flagged for malware
Still not sure?
If your symptom does not fit any of the above:
- Check whether it is a wider issue first — see Service status and how to check for outages.
- Confirm what kind of support you have — see What our support covers (Self-Managed vs Managed). Self-Managed is self-serve with no uptime SLA; Managed adds 24/7 monitoring and an SLA.
- When you contact us, see What to include when you contact support so we can fix it faster.
