At Maxinodes, your email runs on resold Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, bought per seat — not on the hosting server. We do not host mailboxes on our cPanel nodes, and there is no cPanel webmail, Roundcube, or Horde. Your website and your email are deliberately kept separate.
Why we do not host mailboxes on the server
We keep email off the hosting node on purpose:
- Independence. Your mailboxes stay up and reachable even if you change web host, and a problem on the web server never takes your email down with it.
- Deliverability. Microsoft and Google run large, well-maintained mail platforms with strong sender reputation, so your messages are far less likely to land in spam.
- No node load. Keeping mail off the shared hosting node means your website gets the server's resources, and a busy mailbox never competes with your site.
What you get
- Professional Email — Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace mailboxes on your own domain, bought per seat.
- An "Add Professional Email" add-on (around EUR 4.20 per seat) available on all hosting plans.
- DNS records you can manage yourself in the client area (more on that below).
On Managed plans you also get guided email setup, free migration, and we configure your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for you. Self-Managed is self-serve, so you set up email yourself (we are happy to point you in the right direction).

Mailboxes are never managed in cPanel.
How your email connects to your domain
For mail to reach your mailboxes, your domain's DNS must point at your email provider. With Maxinodes:
- Your domain points at our nameservers — ns1.maxinodes.com and ns2.maxinodes.com.
- You add your provider's email records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) in the client area DNS manager, not the cPanel zone editor.
- The exact record values come from your Microsoft 365 admin centre or Google Workspace setup wizard — we never invent tenant-specific values for you.

Bring your own email
You do not have to buy email from us. Bring-your-own email is welcome — if you already use another provider, just point your domain's MX (and related SPF/DKIM/DMARC) records at them in the client area DNS manager. Your website stays on Maxinodes; your mail stays wherever you like.
