Your Maxinodes site is served from a shared IPv4 address, 185.185.49.198, and the same node is also reachable over IPv6 at 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10. These are the addresses of the hosting node (node11) your account lives on, and they are the values your domain's A (IPv4) and AAAA (IPv6) records point to. You don't normally need to type either address yourself — when your hosting is set up, the correct A and AAAA records are created automatically. This article is here for the cases where you want to confirm them.

How to find your A and AAAA records
- Log in to your client area at my.maxinodes.com.
- Open your DNS records (see How to manage DNS records in your client area).
- Look for the A and AAAA records for your domain — typically the apex (
@) andwww.
Result: Your apex A record shows 185.185.49.198 and your apex AAAA record shows 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10, so your domain resolves to your Maxinodes site over both IPv4 and IPv6.
Manage your DNS in the client area, not the cPanel zone editor. Our live DNS runs on our own nameservers; the zone editor inside cPanel does not control what the public sees.
Our hosting node is dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6)
Customer websites are served over both IPv4 and IPv6 (dual-stack). When your domain uses our nameservers, the zone we create contains both the A record (IPv4 -> 185.185.49.198) and the AAAA record (IPv6 -> 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10) for your domain, www, cpanel and ftp — you do not have to add anything. Both addresses point at the same hosting node, and AutoSSL (Let's Encrypt) covers both.
If you keep your DNS with us, both records are created for you and there is nothing to add. If you manage DNS elsewhere, add an A record to 185.185.49.198, and an AAAA record to 2a00:7c80:0:286:c::10 so IPv6 visitors reach you too. Email DNS (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace) and any third-party services you use are unaffected; this note is only about your website's host records.
When would I need the IP?
In almost all cases you don't — pointing your domain to our nameservers handles everything. You might reference these addresses when:
- Allow-listing your site's server IP(s) with an external service or API.
- Setting your A and AAAA records manually if you keep DNS at another provider (see How to point a domain registered elsewhere to your hosting).
- Confirming during a migration cutover that your domain now points to us.
If you have purchased the dedicated IPv4 add-on, your A record will show that dedicated address instead of the shared node IP (your AAAA record still uses the shared IPv6 address) — check your service in the client area for the exact value.
